Types of Stainless Steel Tube
1 : Seamless Tube
Stainless steel tube drawn from cylindrical rod material. Excellent for producing very thick or very thin wall thicknesses that cannot be achieved by semi-seamless process.
2:Semi-seamless Tube
Stainless steel tube with annealing for stress relief drawn after welding (ERW tube) of roll formed sheet material. Less thickness variation than standard processes due to precise thickness of original sheet material.

Material Quality
Austenitic Stainless Steels
Excellent corrosion resistance due to high nickel content. Non-magnetic, but certain processes (like welding) can induce magnetism.
SUS304 The most widely used Stainless steel material with good corrosion resistance and suitability for welding. Major chemical components: Ni(8~10.5%) and (Cr18~20%) |
SUS316 Higher corrosion, acidity, and heat resistance characteristic than SUS304 due to its higher Nickel content and the addition of Molybdenum. SUS316 is excellent for use in harsh chemical and salt water environments. Major chemical components: Ni(10~14%), Cr(16~18%) and Mo(2~3%) |
SUS321 Intergranular corrosion resistance is improved over SUS304 by adding Ti. This material is suitable for high temperature environments and welding applications. Major chemical components: Ni(9~13)% and Cr(17~19%) |
SUS201 Lower cost material than SUS304. Cost reduction is achieved by using lower Ni content and substituting it with Mn and N. JIS standard specifies SUS201 as “stainless steel for springs” and an alternative to SUS301. Major chemical components: Ni(3.5~5.5%), Cr(16~18%), Mn(5.5~7%) and N(less than 0.25%) |
SUS202 Lower cost stainless steel based on SUS302 of SUS300 series by reducing Ni. Generally used as a substitute material for applications such as cooking utensils. This material, however, is lower in corrosion resistance than SUS304. Major chemical components: Ni(4~6%), Cr(17~19%), Mn(7.5~10%) and N(less than 0.25%) |
Ferritic and Martensitic Stainless Steel
Ferritic and Martensitic stainless steel materials possess magnetic property and are generally less expensive than Austenitic stainless steel. However, they offer a lower level of corrosion resistance.
SUS430 Basic type of Ferritic stainless steel. Corrosion resistance is inferior to SUS304 due to the lack of Ni content. SUS430 is widely used for construction materials and for home appliances due to its low cost. Major chemical component: Cr(16~18%) |
Other Materials
We also supply tubes processed from copper (OD 3mm or less), titanium (OD 8mm or less), nickel alloy (OD 20mm or less). Machining, grinding, press punching, and hardening treatment (nitriding) of various materials is available as well.
